
Rodrigo Sotelo
Rodrigo is an advanced Computer Engineering student at the University of Montevideo. From a technical standpoint, he has worked as a backend developer on system reengineering projects, including database redesign and close collaboration with non-technical teams to identify and translate business processes. He also holds the Machine Learning Specialization certification (Stanford/Coursera).
He complements his profile with research in quantum computing applied to chemical simulations, experience that earned him 2nd place at the Quantum Hackathon LATAM (Oct. 2025). Internationally, he participated in the Information Technology Mentorship Program at Houston Public Media (PBS), developing a real-time prototype for radio call management via VoIP, and completed an academic stay at VIT (Chennai, India), where he attended TechnoVIT and studied topics including AI/ML, IoT, and robotics.
